<image:caption>LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR Most men don't talk about what they're carrying. They push through, stay busy, and handle it — until handling it stops working. If you've reached a point where you know something needs to change but aren't sure where to start, this is a good place to begin. I work with men, women, and couples navigating the real weight of life — identity, relationships, emotional exhaustion, and the cryptic sense that something important is missing. My approach is integrative and grounded in the belief that real growth touches every part of a person — social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. Faith isn't a footnote here. It's part of the foundation. You don't have to have it figured out to reach out.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - Taber Carlson, MA, LPC, NCC</image:title>
<image:caption>“I became a counselor because I kept seeing the same thing — men carrying more than they should, alone, without understanding how to process it. This is what Dakota Counseling was built for.” Taber worked in campus ministry with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) prior to counseling and through his experiences connecting with other young adults, Taber recognized a strong motivation - a calling - to dive into personal pain and a growing need for mental health services, particularly for men. Following that call, Taber earned his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. During his program, he served to provide affordable Counseling services to the community at Pathstones Counseling Center in Longview, Texas, and following graduation moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he treated many at Freedom Professional Counseling. He has experience counseling adults, teens, and couples, and is highly skilled in treating various men’s issues, communication problems, conflict resolution skills, addiction, grief, depression, anxiety, emotional disturbance, and more. Taber strives to address all aspects of the human person - socially, physically, intellectually, emotionally, & spiritually with an integrative approach, tailored to his client’s specific needs. He aims to assist individuals in creating realistic goals, building strength to overcome obstacles, and seeking to find and maintain a sense of peace and freedom. Taber is a National Certified Counselor from the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. Taber Carlson founded Dakota Counseling on May 1st 2022 and currently operates from Georgia.</image:caption>
